EDITED PHOTOS

It has been suggested by Depp's Lawyers and his supporters that Amber Heard edited the photographs of her injuries. Depp's lawyer, Camille Vasquez made a big show of presenting two versions of one photograph claiming that one of them had been edited. It was the photograph taken shortly after Depp threw a phone at Amber's face.

HDR SETTING

The explanation is a simple one. When the iPhone camera is set to HDR it takes one shot but saves two versions of a photograph with different tones. When this happens, the metadata will show an identical time stamp. Amber Heard did not know this. What she did know was that Raquel (Rocky) Pennington had taken several different photos that day in different lighting. Amber attributes the difference to the lighting when questioned by a gleeful Vasquez who no doubt knew the real explanation. A similar example can be seen in Depp's photo's yet this was never questioned.

It's worth noting at this point that Vasquez later admitted in interviews to using manipulative tactics to sway the jury. She said, "What you want is the jury to be looking at you and to be listening to your questions. It almost doesn't matter what that witness says in response because the question is actually where you're making the point and making your argument. When I did the cross examination, I wore all white. I wanted people to be looking at me. I didn't want them looking at Ms Heard. Two of the jury members turned away from her, like physically turned their backs to her." This may explain why Amber kept looking at the jury while giving her answers. To regain their attention from Vasquez who's main trick was to implant the suggestion that Amber's photos were fake, or that she was lying.

Both photo's show the redness on Amber's face which eventually developed into a bruise. One slightly more than the other. The real question here is, if Amber was trying to fool everyone by editing a photo, why would she submit the original and not just the edited one? It doesn't make sense. Nevertheless, more proof is needed.

Bryan Neumeister

The Unsealed Documents show that Depp's own expert, Bryan Neumiester admitted that Amber's photos had NOT been edited.

"The metadata of all of the photographs of purported injuries that Ms. Heard has identified as her trial exhibits do not indicate that the photographs went through a photo editing application and all have the operating system EXIF data"

DEPP'S EDITED PHOTOS AND AUDIO

Although no solid proof exists that Amber submitted edited photos of her injuries, the suggestion was made through the theatrics of Depp's team. That's all Depp's supporters needed to run wild with the accusation that Amber edited photos. It's frustrating because the only one who was conclusively found to be manipulating image and audio was Depp.

The unsealed documents show discrepancies in Depp's photograph files which show the modified dates years after Amber had left Depp.

"For one picture, the metadata has a 'create and modified' date of 7/24/2019 and the other picture has no heat date and a modified date of 7/4/2020 which makes no sense if Ms Heard supposedly caused these marks."

The unsealed documents show that Depp manipulated audio recordings.

"The metadata from DEPP9046-9047 indicates the recordings were created in September 2015 and then modified in June 2016 and again one day before their production but Mr Depp only produced the modified version"

Julian ackert

Amber's expert, Julian Ackert was able to find several examples of Depp's manipulated data.
